Faith in Action North is a national organization and with the help of Polk County Elderly Services and organized in September 2003 by Mildred S. McMillon the present executive director. Let us put our experience to work for you. It is our mission to help chronically ill, frail, elderly and homebound retain their independence by forming personal relationships. Volunteers will encourage care recipients to maintain or increase meaningful social interactions. With volunteers performing chores the care recipients can no longer perform, this will enable care recipients to live safely in their homes preventing premature institutionalization.
